A primary objective of this project was to create a new main entry where a kitchen door had been. By replacing the existing one-story garage with a new two-story addition that echoed the form of the original Craftsman-style house, we added a new front porch, entry foyer and music room on the first floor, and built a new master bedroom suite on the second floor. The two-story entrance hall reveals views of a nature preserve beyond while gracefully navigating level changes from the new entry to the existing first floor.
