Situated near the entry of this former waterfront estate, the existing caretaker’s residence was too small for a typical modern family. A 1,300 square foot, three-story addition was designed to be consistent with the unique style and character of the original buildings designed by Stanford White. The existing kitchen was enlarged, and a breakfast room, family room, bedroom and bathroom were added on the first floor. A master bedroom suite with an outside terrace overlooking Mamaroneck Harbor and the Long Island Sound was added on the second floor.
